Adriana Sanchez is a proud daughter of two Mexican immigrants. She has always been the kind of person who is passionate about helping people and making herself a multiplier so that she can become a potential resource to anyone that may need it, Pinpointing more so groups that are underserved and marginalized.
Adriana is a recent graduate from Stanislaus State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Child Development. During her first year there she joined Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. The following year she became a member of the NSLS, that is the National Society of Leadership and Success. By her third year there she joined Tri-Alpha Honor Society, focused on first-generation college students. In her last year there, she became part of CUAA Club, which stands for Chicanos Unidos for Academic Achievement. Involving herself as much as she could to develop both personally and professionally as she trailblazes the way for those around me as a first-generation college graduate. Not too long ago Adriana was employed by Stanislaus county and then got hired on to work for the state on the CA Covid-19 Relief Program, where she currently holds the position of Senior Intake Officer and Spanish lead as a local partner network with City Ministry Network. At this moment she is also part of this year's cohort for the Latino Leadership Initiative. This initiative is generated to increase the number of skillful leaders who serve our communities as change agents.
Adriana has always wanted to take on a bigger role in the community that she was born and raised in. She does not only want to be able to see her own community prosper but she wants to be part of that positive change. She wants to serve the community that continues to serve her. By being able to guide and lead individuals to thrive. Leading also not only by the work but by the heart. Her daily reminder is to be the restorative reason why people still believe in pure hearts and kind souls.
As a Stanislaus native, she wants to persist to be a raised leader from the neighborhood for the neighborhood.
As a NextGen on Board Fellow, Adriana is serving a two-year term on Sierra Vista Child & Family Services’ Board of Directors starting in August 2022.
