Carlos Ortega

Carlos Eduardo Ortega was born and raised in Patterson, graduating from Patterson High School in 2016. Afterward, he attended UC Berkeley and graduated with a degree in Cognitive Studies with a focus in Computer Science and Data Science in Spring 2021. After graduating, he began working at a small startup as a Data Engineer, building pipelines and software to support farmworkers. In his free time, Carlos likes to watch TV series, read blogs, and work on Data Science projects. His current TV interests are the DocuSeries on failed and controversial startups (WeCrashed, The Dropout, and Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber).

As a NextGen on Board Fellow, Carlos is serving a two-year term on Love Stanislaus County’s Board of Directors starting in August 2022.
