Eric Gonzalez

Eric Gonzalez comes from a blue collar, working class background and so he has first hand experience in what a lack of opportunity can do to a family and community. He’s currently majoring in Political Science at Modesto Junior College in an effort to further his goal of public service. His main goal is to effect change and expand opportunity, not only in his community, but wherever he goes. Eric ran for city council in 2020 and before that he had the pleasure of volunteering on multiple campaigns and interning for his local state senator's office in his hometown of Ceres. He aspires to become a public servant, and having the opportunity to work with the Stanislaus Community Foundation and their partners, his hope is that they can further refine his skill set so that he’s better prepared to rise to the occasion.

As a NextGen on Board Fellow, Eric is serving a two-year term on Tuolumne River Trust’s Board of Directors starting in August 2022.
