What is your role at SCF?
As President & Chief Executive Officer, I set the vision for Stanislaus Community Foundation’s leadership work in the community. This includes working with our Board of Directors and leading our staff to develop impactful change around education, economic opportunity and civic literacy. Working in tandem with our partners, donors and other stakeholders, I guide our philanthropic investments to connect resources with local needs.

What do you like most about working at the foundation?
I love the work we do and the people we get to work with! That includes our team, our Board of Directors, our donors, and our community partners. The work to lift our community requires many partners and it’s wonderful to be just one voice among many to create a more vibrant Stanislaus.

What is your favorite thing to do in Stanislaus County?
My favorite thing to do in Stanislaus County is to visit the farmers market on Saturdays – we are lucky to live in a region that has abundant seasonal fruit and produce year-round.

If you were a pasta shape, what shape would you be and why?
Spaghetti – softens under pressure intentionally but doesn’t lose its flavor.

Dream vacation?
Italy.

Biggest fear?
It used to be flying, but I’ve gotten over that!

Favorite book?
The Way of Integrity by Martha Beck.
