Fund Profile: David W. Moore Memorial Scholarship
About David W. Moore
David W. Moore lived his life as a loving and devoted husband, son, and brother. Growing up on a farm, he was active in both 4-H and FFA and graduated from Oakdale High in 1975. Pack trips out of Kennedy Meadows and fishing in the Emigrant Basin lakes were favorite summer vacations. He worked in his father's almond orchards and over the years acquired his own acreage. He was a member of Blue Diamond and took great pride in the annual almond harvest.
David had 38 wonderful years with his wife and soulmate Lynda, a graduate of Atwater High, and teacher at Golden Valley. In their leisure time, they enjoyed motorcycle rides in the foothills and across the United States, walks with their dogs, barbecues, movies, concerts, and time spent with family and friends. At the end of a long day, he loved to relax outside by the fire pit with his favorite music playing, while looking out on the peaceful view of the river.
We will always remember his great sense of humor and passionate re-telling of stories. This scholarship fund is in honor and remembrance of a good man, and a good soul
