Fund Profile: Martella Family Scholarship
About Martella Farms & Grower Direct Nut Co.
Martella Farms and Grower Direct Nut Company are owned and operated by the Martella Family. Their family's roots as farmers in Stanislaus County go back four generations. Originally dedicated to growing and harvesting their own walnuts, today they serve many local growers with a commercial harvesting business and one of the largest walnut hullers, dehydrators and processors in California.
Every generation of the family has volunteered in community, church and school organizations. The Martella's believe a college education is paramount to a prosperous community and bright future.
“A lot of our workers have helped us get to where we are today, and we’re a team, in that sense. It’s nice for us, as employers, to provide that extra boost through scholarships.”
